Aprende a hablar sobre tu rutina diaria en inglés
Una de las primeras cosas que aprendemos al estudiar inglés es a hablar sobre nuestras actividades diarias. Saber cómo describir tu rutina no solo es útil para presentarte, sino también para practicar vocabulario, verbos y expresiones de tiempo en presente simple. En esta entrada te enseñaré lo básico para que puedas construir tu propia rutina en inglés.
Vocabulario básico (basic vocabulary)
Aquí tienes algunas actividades comunes que forman parte de una rutina diaria:

Wake up → despertarse

Take a shower → ducharse

Brush my teeth → cepillarme los dientes

Get dressed → vestirse

Have breakfast → desayunar

🧩 Gramática: El presente simple
Para hablar de nuestra rutina usamos el presente simple en inglés. Observa estos ejemplos:
I wake up at 7:00 a.m.
I go to work at 8:00.
I have lunch at 1:00 p.m.
I go to bed at 11:00 p.m.
Usamos expresiones de tiempo como:

In the morning (por la mañana)

At noon (al mediodía)

Before bed (antes de dormir)
Ejemplo: Mi rutina diaria
Hello! My name is Carla. I usually wake up at 6:30 a.m. I get up and take a shower. Then I brush my teeth and get dressed. I have breakfast at 7:00. I go to work by bus and start work at 8:00.
I usually have lunch at 1:00 p.m. and finish work at 5:00. After work, I go home and relax. I cook dinner and watch TV or read a book. I go to bed at 10:30 p.m.
Tercera persona singular
Ahora veamos un ejemplo con la tercera persona singular:
En tercera persona (he/she), los verbos agregan una -s:
- He wakes, she drinks, he goes, she writes.
El verbo auxiliar para la forma negativa es doesn’t:
- He doesn’t eat much.
- She doesn’t cook every day.
En preguntas se usa Does he/she...?
- Does he work every day?
- Does she write in the morning?

He: Elon Musk’s Daily Routine
Elon Musk is a famous entrepreneur. He is the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX.
He wakes up at 7:00 a.m.
He gets up and takes a shower.
He doesn’t eat a big breakfast, but he usually drinks coffee.
Then, he goes to work early. He spends most of his day at the office.
He checks emails, attends meetings, and works on engineering projects.
At lunchtime, he eats quickly — usually at his desk.
In the afternoon, he visits Tesla or SpaceX factories.
After work, he goes home and spends time with his kids.
In the evening, he sometimes reads or watches a movie.
He goes to bed around midnight.
She: Taylor Swift’s Daily Routine
Taylor Swift is a famous singer and songwriter.
She wakes up at 8:00 a.m.
She gets up, takes a shower, and drinks tea.
Then, she eats breakfast — usually fruit and yogurt.
She goes to the studio or rehearses for her shows.
She writes songs and practices singing or dancing.
At noon, she has lunch with friends or her team.
In the afternoon, she often goes shopping or takes a walk.
Sometimes, she records music or films a video.
In the evening, she cooks dinner or eats out.
She reads, relaxes, and goes to bed at 11:00 p.m.
